A. Qualifications:
1. All members of the police department shall be United States citizens and meet such additional qualifications as established from time to time by the board of fire and police commissioners.
2. Police personnel shall reside either in the village limits or within a radius of ten (10) miles of the village limits within twelve (12) months after the date of their appointment to the police department.
B. Neglect Of Duty: Any sworn member of the police department who shall neglect or refuse to perform any duty required by ordinance of the village or who, in the discharge of his duties, shall be guilty of fraud, extortion, oppression, favoritism, wilful wrong or injustice, shall be subject to disciplinary action before the board of fire and police commissioners of the village.
