The owner of property on which a public nuisance is located, or the person causing, permitting or maintaining a public nuisance, shall, upon conviction therefor, be subject to a fine for the violation of this chapter of not less than twenty five dollars ($25.00) nor more than the maximum provided in section 1-4-1 of this code for each such violation and for each day such violation exists.
