A. Creation; Appointment: The joint plan commission and zoning board of appeals ("PCZBA") is hereby created. The PCZBA shall have seven (7) members, except that, as of the May 1, 2012 effective date of this amendatory provision, the initial members of the PCZBA shall be the thirteen (13) then current members of the plan commission and zoning board of appeals. Upon the resignation of an initial member of the PCZBA or the expiration of that initial member's term, no further members will be appointed to the PCZBA unless such appointment is necessary for the PCZBA to have seven (7) members.
B. Terms Of Office: Each initial PCZBA member shall serve for the remainder of that member's then current term with the plan commission or zoning board of appeals. All subsequent terms of PCZBA members shall be for three (3) years.
C. Chair; Vice Chair: One PCZBA member shall be designated as chair and one PCZBA member shall be designated as vice chair by the village president. The initial PCZBA chair shall be the then current chair of the zoning board of appeals.
D. No Compensation: All PCZBA members shall serve without compensation. (Ord. 2012-10, 4-9-2012, eff. 5-1-2012)
