There is hereby established an architectural board of review for the village. The board shall consist of seven (7) members, to be appointed by the village president, subject to the confirmation by the board of trustees. Each such member shall be appointed for a term of two (2) years of staggered terms. The president shall designate the chair of the board from the membership thereof. A majority of the members appointed to the architectural board of review must be either architects duly licensed by the state of Illinois or, if sufficient number of licensed architects are not available to serve, a combination of licensed architects and otherwise qualified design professionals. For purpose of a quorum, or acting upon any matter properly before the board, any four (4) members shall constitute a quorum. The building commissioner shall be an ex officio member of the architectural board of review, and all members shall serve without compensation. (Ord. 93-6, 5-24-1993; amd. Ord. 2022-4, 1-24-2022)
