7-3-8: PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE ADOPTED:
   A.   That a certain document, a copy of which is now on file in the office of the village clerk, being marked and designated as the international property maintenance code, 2018, as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the Village of Lake Barrington property maintenance code; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said village property maintenance code are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this code, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in subsection B of this section.
   B.   The following sections of the village property maintenance code are hereby revised to read as follows:
   Section 101.1 is hereby revised to read as follows:
      101.1 Title. These regulations shall be known as the "Property Maintenance Code of the Village of Lake Barrington", hereinafter referred to as "this code".
   Section 103.5 is hereby revised to read as follows:
      103.5 Fees. The fees for activities and services performed by the department in carrying out its responsibilities under this code shall be as indicated in section 7-2-6 of the village of Lake Barrington municipal code.
   Section 111 is hereby revised to read as follows:
      111. Means Of Appeal.
      Application For Appeal. Any person directly affected by a decision of the code official or a notice or order issued under this code shall have the right to appeal to the board of trustees, provided that a written application for appeal is filed within twenty (20) days after the day the decision, notice or order was served. An application for appeal shall be based on a claim that the true intent of this code or the rules legally adopted thereunder have been incorrectly interpreted, the provisions of this code do not fully apply, or the requirements of this code are adequately satisfied by other means. The decision of the village with reference to any appeal shall constitute a final legislative decision.
   Section 112.4 is hereby amended to read as follows:
      112.4 Penalties. The penalty for continuing a stop work order shall be subject to the mandatory daily fines as provided from time to time in Section 1-4-1 of the Village Code, and each day that a violation has existed or continues to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
   Section 302.4 - Insert six (6) inches.
   Section 304.14 is hereby revised by inserting May 1 to October 1.
   Section 602.3 is hereby amended by inserting "September 1 to May 1".
   Section 602.3 is hereby amended by inserting the following: The minimum temperature shall be 65° F (18°C.).
   Section 602.4 is hereby amended by inserting: "September 1 to May 1".
   Chapter 8 - Referenced Standards
   Chapter 8, "Referenced Standards", is hereby revised to read as follows:
      All references to the "international zoning code" are hereby deleted from chapter 8.
      All references to the "international plumbing code" are hereby deleted, and in lieu thereof, in each case, a reference to the "Illinois plumbing code" is hereby inserted.
      Appendices: Appendix A is hereby adopted.
