3-1-1: DEFINITIONS:
As used in this chapter, the following words and terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section:
LITTER: Any discarded, used or unconsumed substance or waste. Litter may include, but is not limited to, any garbage, trash, refuse, debris, rubbish, grass clippings or other lawn or garden waste; newspapers, magazines, glass, metal, plastic or paper containers or other packaging, construction material, abandoned vehicle 1 , motor vehicle parts, furniture, oil, carcass of a dead animal, any nauseous or offensive matter of any kind; any object likely to injure any person or create a traffic hazard or anything else of an unsightly or unsanitary nature, which has been discarded, abandoned or otherwise disposed of improperly.
MOTOR VEHICLE: Has the same meaning as in 625 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/1-146.
PERSON: Any individual, partnership, copartnership, firm, company, corporation, association, joint stock company, trust, estate or any other legal entity or their legal representative, agent or assigns. (Ord. 82-O-01, 1-16-1982)
