13-1-2: MANDATORY USE OF SERVICE:
   A.   All buildings intended or used for human habitation or occupancy and all uses within the village's special service area number three must use and be connected to the LBBIP ("Lake Barrington Business and Industrial Park") water system and the LBBIP sanitary sewer system. The boundary limits of village of Lake Barrington special service area number three are defined in section 13-1-3 of this chapter.
   B.   The owner and/or occupant of buildings or properties used for human occupancy, employment, recreation or other purposes situated within the village of Lake Barrington's special service area number three as described above shall, at his, her or its expense, connect such buildings and properties to the LBBIP water system and to the LBBIP sanitary sewer system in accordance with the provisions of this title, within sixty (60) days after the date official notice to do so is mailed to them via regular mail and via certified mail, return receipt requested.
   C.   Sixty (60) days after the date official notice has been given to the owner and/or occupant of the premises to connect to the LBBIP water system and LBBIP sanitary sewer system, it shall be unlawful to utilize any individual sewage disposal system or any well, except any village wells and except any well utilized by the village for purposes of monitoring the aquifer.
   D.   All individual wells, except any village wells and except any well utilized by the village for purposes of monitoring the aquifer, and all individual septic systems shall be properly abandoned within sixty (60) days after said date on which said official notice has been given to the owner and/or occupant. Such abandonment shall be in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances of those governmental jurisdictions having authority over same. (Ord. 2002-O-12, 8-6-2002)
