In accordance with Section 6.1 of the City Charter, the City Council establishes the Road Commissioner for the City and delegates to the Road Commissioner the duty and responsibility for supervision and maintenance of City-owned roads along with other public roads within the City’s boundaries as permitted by law. The Road Commissioner, if any, may be appointed annually at City Council’s first meeting in January or as determined necessary by City Council, for a one-year term. The Road Commissioner shall hold office at the pleasure of Council.
