§ 32.07 MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR.
   (A)   Employment status. Maintenance Supervisor is a hired position.
   (B)   General statement of duties. Supervises and coordinates all water, sewer and street maintenance for the town, maintains all parks, assists the Police Department with animal control, and all other duties as assigned by the Town Manager.
   (C)   Supervision received. Is directly responsible to Town Manager.
   (D)   Supervision exercised. Supervises the activities of all Maintenance Department personnel;
   (E)   Duties.
      (1)   Coordinates activities related to water, sewer and street maintenance and general maintenance of town;
      (2)   Supervises maintenance personnel and develops work schedules;
      (3)   Maintains written report on work completed and/or scheduled on water and sewer lines and streets;
      (4)   Develops budget proposals for the Maintenance Department;
      (5)   Is sure that regular checks are made of water and sewer lines;
      (6)   Attends regular Board meeting without exception unless specifically excused; attends special Board meetings if requested; and
      (7)   Other related duties as assigned.
   (F)   Qualifications.
      (1)   Knowledge, skills and abilities: working knowledge of water and sewer systems and the potential problems involved in maintenance, knowledge of street maintenance practices, ability to supervise and coordinate activities of subordinates.
      (2)   Maintains current water and sewer licenses, state CDL and all other licenses relevant to the smooth production of services to the town;
      (3)   Ability to maintain and operate heavy equipment, i.e., backhoe, snowplows, mowing equipment and all other equipment of the town;
      (4)   Ability to repair water and sewer lines and instruct others in how to do so;
      (5)   Knowledge of weed and insect control and maintenance of delivery devices;
      (6)   Ability to teach others to perform all of the above duties; and
      (7)   Desired education and experience: degree from an accredited high school or GED equivalent plus two years experience in water, sewer and street maintenance, preferably one year of which was in a supervisory position.
