The following define the fire limits of the town.
(A) All that portion of the town embraced within the following described limits shall hereafter be known as, and be, the fire limits of said town, and no building of any description shall hereafter be erected within said fire limits unless the person or persons desiring to erect the same shall first obtain permission from the Board of Trustees authorizing such erection: fire limits shall embrace, to-wit, all of Blocks 14, 15, 22, 23 and 27.
(B) No building shall be hereafter erected within the fire limits unless the same shall be constructed in conformity with the following provisions.
(1) All outside part or individual walls shall be brick or stone or adobe and walls fronting the street shall be of brick or stone or iron pillars or adobe or any other fire-proof material.
(2) (a) Brick walls shall be of less thickness than as follows:
1. One story building, eight inches; and
2. Two story building, 12 inches for the first story and eight inches for the second story.
(b) Stone walls shall not be of less thickness than as follows:
1. One story building, 16 inches; and
2. Two story building, 18 inches for the first story and 12 inches for the second story.
(c) 1. Adobe walls shall not be of less thickness as follows:
a. One story building, 12 inches; and
b. Two story building, 18 inches for the first story and 12 inches for the second story.
2. All party walls shall extend at least 12 inches above the roof.
(d) All buildings to have a substantial foundation.
(3) The ends of all joist beams and other timber on outside party walls shall be separated from each other with stone or brick or adobe laid in mortar or cement.
(4) All roofs shall be covered with iron, tin, slate or other fire-proof material.
(C) (1) No wooden building or part of any building within the fire limits shall be raised, enlarged or removed to any place within said limits, nor shall any wooden building be removed into the fire limits.
(2) A building with a wooden frame, the sides of which shall be covered with sheet iron or other material shall be deemed a wooden building for the purposes of this section and no person or persons shall make any stacks of hay, straw or other combustible material within the fire limits or within 100 feet of said limits unless written privilege be granted by the Board of Trustees.
