(A) Any person, firm, or corporation installing any electrical work shall notify the electrical inspector first when rough work is complete and second when the entire job is complete. The electrical inspector, upon receipt of such notice, shall inspect the work and if the work conforms with the provisions of the code, the electrical inspector shall post a notice of approval at or near such work.
(B) No electrical wiring shall be covered or concealed until approved by the electrical inspector. Should the electrical inspector condemn any electrical work for not being in compliance with the code, notice in writing shall be given to the person, firm or corporation engaged in the installation of the work.
(C) No public utility or any other person, firm or corporation shall provide electrical service to any electrical work in the city without receipt of prior approval of the electrical inspector. The electrical inspector is empowered to order the disconnection of any electrical installation or equipment which has been connected before his or her approval for service has been given. The electrical inspector shall, upon request, issue a certificate of final inspection when any electrical work is completed and found to comply with the code. No certificate of final inspection shall be issued for any incomplete work.
