§ 111.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   EVENT. An association of more than ten itinerant merchants for the temporary transaction of business within the city, not to exceed seven days.
   GOODS. Merchandise of any description whatsoever, and includes, but is not restricted to, wares, foodstuffs, beverages or any object or information for sale, rent, use or access.
   ITINERANT MERCHANT. Any person, whether as owner, agent or consignee, who engages in a temporary business of selling goods within the city and who, in the furtherance of such business, uses any building, structure, vehicle, trailer, cart, tent, table or booth space, or any place within the city, whether in a permanent, temporary or mobile unit.
   MOBILE FOOD UNIT. A motor vehicle, truck, trailer, van or other mobile unit engaged in the preparation or sale of food, beverages or other consumable products, including alcohol, tobacco or similar substances.
   PEDDLER.
      (1)   Any person who travels from place to place by any means carrying goods for sale or rent, or making sales, or making deliveries; or
      (2)   Any person who, without traveling from place to place, sells or offers goods for sale from any place within the city. A person who is a PEDDLER is not an itinerant merchant.
   POP UP SHOP. A temporary, movable structure occupying less than 25 square feet from which an itinerant merchant, solicitor, peddler or other person engages in the sale of goods, performance of services or distribution of information.
   SERVICES. A transaction in which no physical goods are transferred from the seller to the buyer.
   SOLICITOR. Any person who travels by any means from place to place, taking or attempting to take orders for sale of goods to be delivered in the future or for services to be performed in the future. A person who is a SOLICITOR is not a peddler.
   TEMPORARY. A period of time less than 30 consecutive days or less than 15 cumulative days within a single year, where a day means doing any business or having any goods for sale within the city.
   VENDOR. Any person who is an ITINERANT MERCHANT, PEDDLER or SOLICITOR as defined in this section.
