§ 52.02 WATER RATES.

   For the use of and the service rendered by the water utility of the town, the following rates and charges are based upon the amount of water supplied by said water utility.

   (A)   Consumption per month.

      (1)   Each user shall pay a minimum charge in accordance with the following applicable size of meter installed, for which the user will be entitled to the quantity of water set out in the above schedule of rates:

      (2)   Apartment buildings will be charged the greater of: actual flow, subject to minimum monthly charges; or number of apartments times minimum charge for a 5/8" meter.

   (C)   Private fire protection service. Service under these rates shall consist of stand-by service for fire emergencies and all water taken through such connections shall be restricted to fire emergencies only. The Waterworks reserves the right to install flow detectors from time to time to ensure such service is restricted to firefighting purposes:

Outside town boundaries rates and charges include a surcharge of 14.9% above inside town rates. Commercial/industrial users will be charged a hydrant fee per meter. Residential users will pay one fixed hydrant fee per household.

Must pay the minimum and receive a permit from the Clerk-Treasurer’s office before receiving a building permit.

 

      (4)   Delinquent bill charges. After the tenth day of the month: 10% of the delinquent bill.
