(a) From time to time individuals request copies of documents kept by the Village in its regular course of business.
(b) There is a cost to the Village for providing these services and it is the intention of the Village to pass the reasonable costs of supplying the service to the individual receiving the service.
(c) The Village shall charge the following fees for services rendered:
(1) Police Department:
Copies of traffic accident reports | $3.00 each |
Copies of police reports | 3.00 each |
Reports over 5 pages, additional pages | .20 each |
Photographs - the current cost to develop negatives plus | 5.00 |
The Chief of Police or his designee may waive all or any part of the above fees for:
A. Any law enforcement official of the City or County, or any official agency of the United States, or any military organization of the United States, or any police agency of any political subdivision;
B. Any victim of crime requesting a report pertaining to the crime;
C. Any person involved in an accident who requests a copy of his written statement;
D. Any person or agency requesting copies of a public record in which the assessed fees would cause an undue burden upon them.
