All houses and commercial buildings on all public streets in the Municipality shall be numbered in accordance with the following plan:
(a) Commencing at the public square, 100 numbers shall be assigned to each block therefrom on each of the following streets: East Main Street, South Center Street, West Main Street, and North Center Street. A number shall be assigned for approximately each fifty feet of frontage; odd numbers shall be assigned to the west or north sides of such streets and even numbers shall be assigned to the east or south sides of such streets.
(b) All streets intersecting East Main Street, South Center Street, West Main Street and North Center Street shall be numbered so that 100 numbers shall be assigned to each block from such intersection and the first block from such intersection shall begin with the number 100. On such intersecting streets, numbers shall be assigned for approximately each fifty feet of frontage and in such a manner that numbers on such streets, parallel to each other and parallel to East Main Street, South Center Street, West Main Street and North Center Street, shall be directly opposite so far as practicable. Odd numbers shall be assigned on the west or north sides of such intersecting streets and even numbers on the east or south sides of such streets.
(c) Provided, however, that Church Street from East Main Street southerly to the limits thereof shall be numbered with numbers under 100 and provided further that Railroad Street shall be numbered from its intersection with South Center Street northeasterly commencing with the number 100. Odd numbers shall be assigned to the northwesterly side of Railroad Street and even numbers to the southeasterly side of the street.
(d) Public Square starting at the Southwest corner of the intersection of West Main Street and Public Square with the number 101 and continuing around the circle in a counter clockwise direction ending with the Northwest corner of the intersection of West Main Street and Public Square with the number 129.
(e) All other public streets in the Municipality and all streets hereafter dedicated and accepted by the Municipality shall be numbered in accordance with the foregoing plan so far as is practicable.
