It shall be the duty of the Village Administrator to conduct periodic inspections of all fire hydrants located within the Village and to keep the same in good working order and repair and in a condition such that each hydrant shall be ready for immediate use. Such inspection shall occur at least twice per year and at such other times as may be necessary in the opinion of the Village Administrator. Following each such inspection, the Village Administrator shall provide Council with a written report indicating the condition and any corrective and/or preventative measure taken with respect to each hydrant inspected.
