Violation of any part of this chapter is deemed a public nuisance and a misdemeanor and is punishable as provided by the laws of the state. The civil remedy of injunction and actions for abatement shall not preclude prosecution for the same violation as constituting a misdemeanor nor shall the prior institution of criminal charges preclude injunctive relief or, actions in abatement.
