§ 150.44 POWERS OF THE ZONING OFFICER.
   If the Zoning Officer discovers that any lot, building or other structure is in violation of the provisions provided above, he or she shall have the power to mandate a change of address so that the numbering is in compliance with this subchapter. Pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/11-80-18, the corporate authority shall notify the owner of the property sought to be changed of its new address; however, the change in the numbering of houses, buildings or other structures shall not take effect until 30 days after the election authorities having jurisdiction in the area in which such numbering is changed and the post office branch serving that area have been notified by the corporate authority initiating such action of the change in writing by certified or registered mail.
