Any licensee may renew his or her license at the expiration thereof, provided that they are then qualified to receive a license and the premises for which such renewal license is sought are suitable for such purpose. All applications for renewal of licenses shall be referred by the City Clerk to the Local Liquor Commissioner, as in the case of application for original licenses, and the procedure for renewal thereof shall be as in the case of application for original licenses.
