A. Prohibited: It shall be unlawful for any person to own, harbor or possess any goat within the City limits of Kooskia, Idaho County, Idaho. This section shall apply to any breed of goat.
B. Exceptions:
1. This section shall not apply to persons traveling through the City of Kooskia. Said persons traveling through the City, for instance, who stop and purchase fuel or stop at a store, shall not be subject to the provisions of this section. However, said persons shall take proper precautions to not let any goat run at large. Further, said persons shall keep their goat in a confined place, such as in a vehicle, a crate or other type of container.
2. Any person who currently possesses goats within the Kooskia City limits shall remove said goats within two (2) days of the passage of this section.
C. Penalty: Any person violating this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and may be fined up to one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) and may be confined to the County Jail for up to six (6) months and/or both such fine and imprisonment. (Ord. 182, 5-11-2016)
