7-1-5: RV PARKING:
   A.   Prohibited: No travel trailer, tent trailer, motor home, fifth wheel trailer, or recreational vehicle, occupied or to be occupied, except as herein otherwise provided, shall be parked outside of an established trailer court or a mobile home subdivision in the City.
   B.   Emergency Or Temporary Parking: Emergency or temporary stopping or parking is permitted on any street, alley or highway for a period of not more than twenty four (24) hours, subject to any other and further prohibitions, regulations or limitations imposed by traffic and parking regulations. This shall also include visiting friends or relatives wishing to park their travel trailer, tent trailer, motor home, fifth wheel trailer or recreational vehicle on someone's private lot, the time limit for such parking not to exceed two (2) weeks.
   C.   Storage Of Unoccupied Unit: One unoccupied camper, camp trailer, travel trailer, tent trailer, motor home, fifth wheel trailer, or recreational vehicle may be stored by the owner thereof on his residence lot. The unoccupied unit may be parked along the right-of-way in front of the owner's residence as long as it is at least four feet (4') from the edge of the traveled portion of the roadway. Subject to removal for maintenance upon request of the City.
   D.   Storage Of Occupied Unit: Upon application and approval by the Kooskia City Council, one occupied camper, camp trailer, travel trailer, tent trailer, motor home, fifth wheel trailer, or recreational vehicle may be stored by the owner thereof on his residence lot. However the occupied unit must be their primary residence and such unit must be hooked up to City water and sewer.
   E.   Exemptions From Provisions:
      1.   These provisions shall not apply or affect new or used travel trailers, tent trailers, motor homes, fifth wheel trailers, or recreational vehicles stored or placed on lots that have been previously approved by the Kooskia City Council. Said units shall be considered "grand-fathered" in.
      2.   These provisions shall not apply or affect new or used travel trailers, tent trailers, motor homes, fifth wheel trailers, or recreational vehicles stored or placed on sales lots that do not pose a safety hazard.
   F.   Penalties: Any violation of the provisions of this section shall be punishable as a misdemeanor, and upon conviction any such person shall be fined as provided in the general penalty in section 1-4-1 of this Code. (Ord. 191, 1-10-2018)
