(A) Charitable organizations. Charitable organizations as herein defined, and persons and organizations acting on behalf of the charitable organization, are exempted from the prohibition set out in § 116.31 above, provided that, each such charitable organization shall have first obtained a permit as provided hereinafter. Furthermore, charitable organizations may receive only two permits for solicitation in the street in any calendar year.
(B) Political campaigning. Political campaigning is exempted from the provisions hereof, and no permit shall be required.
