§ 30A.06 PRESIDING OFFICER.
   The Common Council at its first meeting shall choose from among its members a presiding officer and a presiding officer pro tempore, both of whom shall serve until noon of the first Monday in January of the next succeeding year when their respective successors shall be chosen to serve for one year in a like manner.
