Nothing in this subchapter shall affect the right of the owners or tenants of any public place to remodel or add to existing structures, or to establish or discontinue temporary outdoor selling or display areas contiguous thereto. In the event any change is made, the outlines of the adjoining fire lane shall be redrawn and posted to conform to the revised outline of the building an its contiguous selling or display areas.
