The ordinances and resolutions adopted by the Common Council shall be recorded by the City Clerk in the minute books of the Council, and a copy kept in an ordinance file. Due proof of publication of all ordinances requiring publication together with the affidavit of the printer or publisher shall be obtained by the Clerk and attached to the original of each ordinance adopted by the Common Council in the minute book of the Council.
