§ 33.12 MEMBERS.
   (A)   Appointment. The Human Rights Commission shall consist of seven members, four of whom shall be appointed by the Mayor and three of whom shall be appointed by the Common Council. The Commissioners shall be broadly representative of the religious, racial, ethnic, economic, educational, and other groups existing within the community. ('75 Code, § 2-271)
   (B)   Term. The term of the initial commissioners will be staggered with three of the commissioners being appointed for three year terms; three for two year terms; and one with a one year term. All subsequent appointments will be for a fixed term of office of three years. No commissioner may be reappointed to the Human Rights Commission until the expiration of one calendar year from the termination date of their previous appointment.
   (C)   Removal. Members of the Human Rights Commission may be removed by the Mayor with the consent of the Common Council. ('75 Code, § 2-274)
   (D)   Compensation. The members of the Human Rights Commission shall serve without compensation, although they may be reimbursed for out of pocket expenses incurred in the performance of their duties. ('75 Code, § 2-275)
