(A) General. Every sink, lavatory, bathtub or shower, drinking fountain, toilet or other facility shall be properly connected to either a public sewer system or to a private sewage disposal system approved by the appropriate health authorities. Nothing in this section shall be construed as limiting the city's prerogative of requiring connection to municipal sewers.
(B) Maintenance. Every plumbing stack, waste, and sewer line shall be installed and maintained to function properly and shall be kept free from obstructions, leaks and defects to prevent structural deterioration or health hazards. All repairs and installations shall be made in accordance with applicable ordinance provisions.
