§ 31.13 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT.
   There is hereby created a Community Development Department. The Community Development Department includes those employees typically assigned to building inspections, individuals that assist the Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals, and other employees as recommended by the Township Manager and approved by the Township Board. The Township Manager shall be the immediate supervisor of the Community Development Department. This subchapter shall not limit the authority of the Township Board to contract for the services provided by the Community Development Department or the Township Board's authority to have another governmental entity provide those services as authorized by statute or the Michigan Constitution of 1963.
