(A) Family business entity transfer. Unless the Township Board otherwise directs, an applicant which seeks to transfer a license to a business entity in which the applicant, together with members of the applicant’s immediate family, are the owners, shall not require the filing of an application or a hearing which is required under this section. The Township Board may consider approval or disapproval based upon the local approval notice as provided by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission.
(B) Family member transfer. Unless the Township Board otherwise directs, an applicant which seeks to transfer the ownership of a license, or part ownership of a license, to a member of the applicant’s immediate family, shall not require a filing of an application or a hearing under this section. The Township Board may consider approval or disapproval based upon the local approval notice as provided by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission.
