The township is authorized and directed to take other precautionary measures as may be deemed necessary to eliminate any danger of contamination of the water system. Water service to the land in question shall not be restored until either the cross-connection has been eliminated, or evidence furnished and access permitted to enable the township to, determine that no cross-connection (prohibited by this chapter) exists.
