(A) The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee shall consist of an odd number of members not fewer than five, or more than nine, as determined by the Township Board. If the Township Board decides to increase or decrease the number of members serving on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee, any increase or decrease shall not take effect until the beginning of the next fiscal budget adopted by the Township Board.
(B) The Township Supervisor or his or her designee shall serve as the Township Board representative to the Recreation Advisory Committee. The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee shall annually elect a Vice-Director and Secretary and adopt rules for the conduct of its business.
(C) The current individuals serving on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee shall continue to serve in that capacity.
(D) All future appointments to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee shall be done pursuant to the process established by Township Board Policy 06-01, § 24.0, Boards and Committees (attached to the ordinance codified herein).
(E) The members of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee can receive compensation if allowed and established by the Township Board. The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee may employ clerical assistance and incur other expenses that are authorized by the Township Board. The compensation and expenses shall be paid from the parks and recreation budget, as approved by the Township Board.
