(A) The duties of fire departments require specialized fire, safety, emergency, rescue, environmental and hazardous material equipment, materials, supplies and specialized training in order to provide for the safety of the public.
(B) The response to emergency situations which involve and/or are caused by non-resident persons places a financial burden on the township and its Fire Department.
(C) Ad valorem real property taxes and special assessments are insufficient to provide for the ever increasing cost for emergency services. The township has previously authorized the collection of charges for emergency service responses hereunder.
