(a) Whenever any construction work within the Village shall cause interference with or disruption to vehicular traffic on any street or highway within the Village, it shall be the duty of the contractor performing said work to cause uniformed police officers under the jurisdiction and control of the Chief of Police to warn, direct and control such vehicular traffic.
This provision may be waived by the Chief of Police for good cause shown consistent with vehicular safety.
(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
