§ 244.06  LAW ENFORCEMENT TRUST FUND.
   (a)   A Law Enforcement Trust Fund bearing those account numbers as the Director of Finance from time to time deems appropriate is hereby created to collect the proceeds from the sale at public auction of forfeited contraband and for the deposit of forfeited monies received pursuant to Ohio R.C. 2981.01 et seq.
   (b)   The Chief of Police is hereby authorized and instructed to adopt a written internal control policy as required by Ohio R.C. 2981.11(B)(1) addressing the use of the monies received by the Law Enforcement Trust Fund.
   (c)   The Chief of Police during each calendar year shall file a report with the City Council no later than January 31 of the next calendar year, verifying that the proceeds and forfeited monies that were spent from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund were expended only for the purposes authorized by the Ohio Revised Code and specifying the amount expended for each authorized purpose.
