If a well is abandoned, the owner or lessee thereof shall notify the City Engineer and the Chief of the Ohio Division of Oil and Gas. The location of the well shall be indicated on the map provided at the time of the original application. The plugging and/or abandonment shall be performed pursuant to the laws of the state and the ordinances of the city and shall be done under the supervision of a representative of the Division.
