(a) Each registrant under § 822.01 shall be provided with a list of those residences whose owners or occupants have requested of the city, in writing, that such residence not be canvassed and/or solicited, and such registrant may not canvass and/or solicit at any residence on the list which is prepared pursuant to § 822.02.
(b) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this chapter, no person shall go upon any premises for the purpose of canvassing and/or soliciting where the owner or occupant of such premises has posted a sign stating "No Peddlers or Solicitors Allowed" or words to that effect.
