§ 612.09  CONSUMPTION OR POSSESSION BY UNDERAGE PERSONS ON RESIDENTIAL PREMISES.
   (a)   No owner or occupant of any residential premises located within the municipality shall knowingly allow any person under the age of twenty-one years to remain on such premises while such person is in the possession of intoxicating liquor or beer or while such person is consuming intoxicating liquor or beer. However, this section shall not apply to a person allowing possession of intoxicating liquor or beer by his or her own children in his or her own residence or when the intoxicating liquor or beer is furnished pursuant to an order of a physician in the regular line of his or her practice.

   (b)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor and shall be subject to the penalty provided in § 698.02.
