§ 446.02  TRAFFIC REGULATIONS.
   (a)   Police officers. No person shall purposely or knowingly fail or refuse to comply with any lawful order or direction of any officer with authority to direct, control or regulate traffic and parking.

   (b)   Emergency and public safety vehicles. The driver of a vehicle shall yield the right of way to an emergency or public safety vehicle by moving to the side of the road and remaining there until such emergency or public safety vehicle has passed.

   (c)   Traffic signs, signals and markings. The Safety-Service Department of the Lakeland Community College shall place and maintain traffic control devices in compliance with this Traffic Code and with state law as it deems necessary for the safe regulation and orderly movement of traffic.
      (1)   No person shall fail or refuse to comply with any official traffic control device, sign or signal.
      (2)   No person shall alter, deface, injure, knock down or remove any such official traffic control device, sign or signal.
   (d)   Speed restrictions. No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed greater than is reasonable and proper under the actual and potential hazards then existing. No person shall operate a motor vehicle at a speed greater than that which will allow him or her to bring such vehicle to a stop within the assured clear distance ahead.
      (1)   On campus streets, a speed in excess of 30 miles per hour is prima-facie unreasonable and is prohibited.
      (2)   In campus parking lots, a speed in excess of 15 miles per hour is prima-facie unreasonable and is prohibited.
   (e)   Reckless operation. No person shall operate a motor vehicle in any manner so as to endanger life or property.
   (f)   Accidents. The driver of any vehicle involved in an accident resulting in the injury or death of any person or damage to any property of another shall immediately stop such vehicle at the scene of such accident and remain there until he or she has complied with the following requirements: 
      (1)   He or she shall render such aid as is possible to any person injured, including arranging for the transport of such injured person to a hospital; 
      (2)   He or she shall give his or her name, address and the identification number of his or her vehicle and, upon request, exhibit his or her driver's license to an officer of the Safety-Service Department of the College, the Police Division of the city and/or any other person involved in the accident; and
      (3)   He or she shall immediately notify the Safety-Service Department of the College and file an accident report within 24 hours with such Department, which Department shall forward a copy of such report to the Police Division of the city.
