Permanent monuments, each consisting of a solid iron rod, one inch in diameter, centered in a concrete post, six inches in diameter and not less than 30 inches long, and embedded in the soil so that its top is at existing grade, shall be accurately set and established at the intersections of all outside boundary lines of a plat. A monument box with a solid iron rod, one inch in diameter, shall be set at all road centerline intersections and at such other points as are necessary to establish definitely all lines of the plat, except those outlining individual lots. All lot corners shall be marked with pins of a size, dimension and material consistent with accepted surveying practices of the county.
