§ 254.11  EDUCATIONAL PAY FOR POLICE.
   (a)   The city will pay each full-time police officer in the classified service of the Division of Police ten dollars ($10.00) per certified college credit hour completed after execution of an agreement, per year, to a maximum of 96 credit hours. The total payment to each full-time police officer shall be divided by 26 and shall be paid at each regular pay period.
   (b)   Full-time police officers in the classified service of the Division of Police shall be entitled to attend related schools and/or seminars of their choice with the approval of the Chief, without loss of pay. The city shall pay the full cost of tuition. The following schedule shall apply to the schools and/or seminars:
 
After 12 months service
3 days per year
After 60 months service
5 days per year
After 120 months service
10 days per year
 
   (c)   Any full-time police officer in the classified service of the Division of Police who has received a training certificate attesting to the satisfactory completion of all law enforcement courses towards an associate degree in law enforcement shall receive an additional one hundred dollars ($100.00) per year educational allowance.
   (d)   Any full-time police officer in the classified service of the Division of Police who has received a training certificate attesting to the satisfactory completion of all law enforcement courses towards a bachelor degree in law enforcement shall receive an additional one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) per year educational allowance.
   (e)   Any full-time police officer in the classified service of the Division of Police who has received a training certificate attesting to the satisfactory completion of all law enforcement courses towards a masters degree in law enforcement shall receive an additional two hundred dollars ($200.00) per year educational allowance.
   (f)   Full-time police officers in the classified service of the Division of Police shall be entitled to the highest allowance as set forth in subsections (c), (d) and (e) hereof, and there shall be no pyramiding of such allowances.
