§ 50.01 WATER RATES AND CHARGES.
   There shall be and there is hereby established for the use of and the service rendered by the water works system of the town the following rates and charges, based upon the use of water supplied by said water works system.
   (A)   The following shall be charged for the first 20,000 gallons on a monthly gallon usage: $12.27 per 1,000 gallons. For usage over 20,000 gallons on a monthly gallon usage, the following shall be charged: $8.00 per 1,000 gallons.
      (1)   Minimum monthly charge based upon size of taps shall be as follows:

      (2)   Tap fee for water for all connections is the actual cost of making a connection.
   (B)   The amount to be paid by the town, or others, for fire hydrants shall be $721.13 per annum per hydrant payable semi-annually.
   (C)   Water meter deposits shall be $125 per meter.
      (1)   If a water customer suffers a water leak, one turn off and turn on per leak will be allowed at no charge.
      (2)   Any additional trips shall be charged at the rate of $25 per call during office hours. After office hours, any additional trips shall be charged at the rate of $50 per call.
      (3)   A fee of $25 per inspection will be charged to realtors, their agents or persons in similar circumstances who have water turned on and off for inspection purposes.
      (4)   Inspection fees for new construction shall be assessed at the rate of $40 per inspection.
      (5)   The re-connect fee for customers whose service was terminated for non-payment shall be $19.72 for connections during regular business hours and $49.30 for connections after hours.
      (6)   Customers shall pay the full price for water received during the time that such customer suffers a water leak. When the water received exceeds that customer’s average water usage during the preceding year by at least 25,000 gallons, that customer shall have up to six months to pay for such extra usage. Water customers who suffer a water leak shall have their sewage fee adjusted to that customer’s average usage, however that adjustment shall be allowed only one time per year.
   (D)   Town Council has the discretion to adjust the water portion of the bill.
   (E)   Owners shall be responsible for any unpaid bills by renters.
   (F)   Returned checks shall be charged an additional fees of $15 per returned check.
   (G)   There shall be a late charge penalty on all bills not paid by the fifteenth of the month for a one-time fee of 10% of the current bill.
