New construction or work for which Fire Department approval is required shall be subject to inspection by the Fire Chief. It shall be the duty of the permit applicant or contractor to cause the work to remain accessible and exposed for inspection purposes. Neither the Fire Chief, nor his or her designee, nor the town shall be liable for expense entailed in the removal or replacement of any material required to allow inspection. It shall be the duty of the person requesting any required inspections to provide access to and means for proper inspection of such work (e.g., ladder and the like).
