The Commission shall serve only in an advisory capacity to the Village Board and shall comply with all applicable provisions of Illinois state statutes and this code and shall have the following powers and duties:
(A) To review various aspects of appropriate types of trees in various locations around the village, to identify meaningful ways that trees can coexist in public areas and right-of-ways, without unreasonably interfering with immediate and longer-term infrastructure needs, and to recommend actions for consideration by the Village Board for its comment and approval.
(B) To provide to the Village Board any recommendations for improvement in policies or actions related to the placement, maintenance, and removal of trees in public areas.
(C) To consider, evaluate, and make recommendations pertaining to any tree-related issue at the request of the Village Board.
