§ 130.37 OFFENDER REGISTRATION.
   (A)   Registration required. It shall be unlawful for any person required to register with the Chief of Police as the law enforcement agency having jurisdiction as a sex offender or a sexual predator under the Illinois Sex Offender Registration Act, 730 ILCS 150/1, et seq., or as a violent offender against youth under the Murderer and Violent Offender Against Youth Registration Act, 730 ILCS 154/1 et seq., or under any similar statute to fail to register with the Chief of Police.
   (B)   Fees.
      (1)   The person shall pay a $100 initial registration fee and a $100 annual renewal fee to the Chief of Police under the Illinois Sex Offender Registration Act, 730 ILCS 150/1 et seq., and a $20 initial registration fee and a $10 annual renewal fee to the Chief of Police under the Murderer and Violent Offender Against Youth Registration Act, 730 ILCS 154/1 et seq. The Chief of Police may waive the registration fee if the Chief determines that the person is indigent and unable to pay the registration fee.
      (2)   Should the person's annual duty to report under the Murderer and Violent Offender Against Youth Registration Act, 730 ILCS 154/1 et seq., be increased at the request of the Chief of Police, no additional fee shall be required.
      (3)   The person shall pay a $50 change fee to the Chief of Police for any change in information causing the person to update the registration pursuant to state statute.
