(A) No species other than those included in the Village of Kirkland Recommended Tree List, attached as Appendix A, may be planted as street trees or on any public property. Approval of planting of approved trees must be provided in writing by the Superintendent of Public Works or his or her representative, who shall take into consideration, where practicable, the recommendations of the Kirkland Tree Commission.
(B) Exceptions to or changes to the Village of Kirkland Recommended Tree List must be approved by the Village Board of Trustees, which may do so by motion.
