§ 34.50 EMPLOYEE HOLIDAYS AND VILLAGE HALL CLOSING DATES.

   (A)   Purpose.  

      (1)   The Village Board of Trustees is authorized to establish holidays for employees and dates when Village Hall shall be closed; and

      (2)   As the village has grown it has hired more employees, and the Village Board desires to standardize holidays for all of its employees and to close Village Hall on the days established herein.

   (B)   Dates. The dates the following holidays are observed by the federal government shall be the official holidays of the village, and Village Hall shall be closed in observance of the holidays as follows:

      (1)   New Year’s Day;

      (2)   Martin Luther King Day;

      (3)   Presidents’ Day;

      (4)   Memorial Day;

      (5)   Independence Day;

      (6)   Labor Day;

      (7)   Veterans’ Day;

      (8)   Thanksgiving Day;

      (9)   Day after Thanksgiving Day;

      (10)   Christmas Eve Day; and

      (11)   Christmas Day.
