(A) Purpose.
(1) The Village of Kirkland, DeKalb County, Illinois desires to comply with the Public Funds Investment Act, 30 ILCS 235/1 et seq. (the Act);
(2) The Act mandates that all units of local government which invest funds approve a formal investment policy; and
(3) The Village Board has recently reviewed the village’s investments and desires to approve an investment policy in keeping with the Act.
(B) Policy adopted. The Village of Kirkland Investment Policy, which is attached to Ordinance 05-02 as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby adopted as the Investment Policy of the village. Copies are available through village offices.
