§ 33.32 PAYMENT OF FEES BY CARD USERS OR CARDHOLDERS.
   (A)   The village may impose a convenience fee or surcharge upon the cardholder making payment of authorized obligations by credit card but said convenience fee or surcharge shall not exceed the amount of any discount or processing fee incurred by the village. No convenience fee for the issuance of any license, sticker, or permit may exceed the lesser of $20 or 5% of the principal amount charged for the authorized obligation. No convenience fee for the payment of any administrative fine may exceed the lesser of $5 or 5% of the principal amount charged for the authorized obligation. All other authorized obligations not specifically stated in this section may be charged a minimum of $1 as a convenience fee.
   (B)   The village hereby imposes a convenience fee of 2% upon those who use a credit card for the issuance of any license, sticker, permit or any other authorized fee; therefore, $2 for payments in the amount of $1 to $100, $4 for payments in the amount of $101 to $200, $6 for payments in the amount of $201 to $300, $8 for payments in the amount of $301 to $400, $10 for payments in the amount of $401 to $500, and so on, up until the maximum amount of $20 is reached with respect to the purchases or fees.
   (C)   The village hereby imposes a convenience fee of 2% upon those who use a credit card for the payment of any administrative fine; therefore, $2 for payments in the amount of $1 to $100, $4 for payments in the amount of $101 to $200, and a maximum convenience fee of $5 for payment of fines in the amount of $201 and greater.
