(A) Following election of the village (by approval of this subchapter) to accept credit card payments for authorized obligations, the village may enter into agreements with one or more financial institutions or other service providers to facilitate the acceptance and processing of credit card payments. The agreements shall conform with the requirements of 50 ILCS 345/20(a) and are subject to cancellation by the village upon giving the proper notice of intent to cancel.
(B) The village may pay the amounts due a financial institution or other service provider by paying upon receipt of the invoice or by allowing the financial institution or other service provider to withhold the amount of the fees from the credit card payment.
