(A) The Planning and Zoning Commission (hereinafter "the Commission") shall consist of a total of seven members appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Board of Trustees. The Mayor shall designate one member as Chairperson of the Commission. Members of the Commission shall reside within the village.
(B) Each member of the Commission shall serve for a term of five years. The terms of Commission members shall be staggered such that one member's term expires each year. All members shall serve until their successors have been appointed and approved.
(C) Appointments to fill a vacancy shall be for the remainder of the unexpired term.
(D) All members of the Commission shall serve without compensation except that, if the Board of Trustees deems it advisable, the Secretary may receive such compensation as may be fixed by the Board.
